Serving Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Grimsby and surrounding areas.
What is it used for?
- Acne
- Sun Damage
- Irregular Skin Tone
- Acne Scarring
- Skin Rejuvenation
How does it work?
- A peel treatment helps resurface the skin by eliminating dead epidermal cells.
- This process stimulates the skin to renew itself in order to improve the appearance and smoothness of your skin.
How is the Biomedic-LHA Peel Different?
- Biomedic peels contain LHA (Lipo-hydroxy acid) which enables proper penetration into the upper skin layers (epidermis), and precise exfoliation for proven high quality results.
- Biomedical LHA peels are the first peel not requiring neutralization. The LHA peel has been specially designed to prevent the risks of over peeling and burning.
How is the Procedure performed?
- A period of skin preparation at home with 3 steps performed twice daily
- Cleansing with a pro-desquamating gel
- Toning with a Pro-desquamating solution
- Skin treatment with a serum
- The procedure in the office takes 15 minutes.
- Your skin is cleansed
- The peeling agent is applied, it automatically neutralizes itself
- Then you are ready to leave the office.
- Afterward, the skin will shed its excess dead cells and begin a more active renewal process
- An optional calming mask may be applied immediately afterward.
- Masks are calming, soothing and provided added hydration.
- You will use a healing cream to provide immediate soothing benefits after the peel and for the following 3 days.
- Also you will be asked to protect the skin from UVA and UVB with high SPF sun protection, between sessions and for two weeks after the last session
Is it Painful?
Stinging and burning sensations as well as generalized redness may occur during the procedure. These reactions will gradually diminish in intensity and disappear rapidly.
What are the post-peel effects?
In the 3 days after the procedure, your skin may peel a little and feel somewhat more sensitive than usual. These reactions are completely normal and disappear rapidly.
How can I prolong the effects of the peels?
Use a pro-desquamating cleanser, toner and serum.
How many treatments will I need?
A complete course of treatment is 4 peels performed at 2 week intervals.
What kind of results can I expect?
The skin is smoother, more radiant and luminous 7 days after the first session.
At the end of the treatment, the skin’s surface looks refined, imperfections are diminished and the complexion appears brighter and more even.
